Explore More Than 15 Years of Fashion and Lifestyle at Isetan Men's
The Isetan Men's Building, which sits alongside the Isetan Shinjuku Main Store, recently celebrated 15 years on the front line of fashion. Offering all men who love fashion their very own shopping paradise, it has become a much-loved fashion institution around the globe. But did you know that the roots of the current store date back over 50 years?
Launched 50 years ago as the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Annex, it was actually Japan's very first dedicated men's fashion building--and that same frontiersman spirit continues today. When it first opened in 1968 (pictured above), the store was a popular destination for women seeking gifts for men.
Isetan Men's arrival at the center of the Tokyo fashion scene, as a place for menswear shoppers, came with its rebirth in 2003. In fact, at the time, the idea of a fashion store built from a man's perspective was so rare that it made the news for multiple days in a row!
Join us as we tour the store as it stands today for a look at the some of the sections that give Isetan Men's its edge.
You will notice that each floor is themed by style--such as Creators, Luxury, and Authentic--allowing you to shop a host of complementary fashion brands and build your own look rather than wearing a single brand.
B1 is home to footwear--and everything you might need to take care of it--as well as inners and nightwear. A true gentlemen lets no detail go unnoticed.
1F is where you will find men's accessories, cosmetics and fragrances to complete your look, and also a regularly rotating event space that ensures that every visit brings something new.
From 2F to 7F you have everything you need to complete any number of wardrobes, from fashion-forward looks to business attire for the office, as well as stylish takes on golfing fashion. On that subject, did you know that there is a golf school on the roof of the Men's Building?
Finally, 8F is where you will find everything to make a man's home his castle, from sophisticated flower arrangements to dashing smoking accessories.
