Step into a World of LOEWE in Nihombashi Mitsukoshi
Now over 170 years since its foundation Spanish luxury giant LOEWE has a regular home at Nihombashi Mitsukoshi, with frequent LOEWE themed events a high point on our in-store calendar, as well as proof that its worldview of timeless chic is very much in line with our own. Now visitors to the store can look forward to an upcoming exhibition from the brand that encapsulates the brand as it heads into 2017. Ever since creative director Jonathan Anderson who originally hails from Northern Ireland took to the helm in 2013 LOEWE has begun a new chapter in its history, and balancing the inherent modernity of its past output with the young designer's dynamism, even those familiar with the brand's remarkable output will find something new to discover.
Echoing the opening of a flower shop inspired by notable British florist Constance Spry that commemorated the reopening of LOEWE's Madrid flagship under Jonathan Anderson for autumn last year, the brand will transform the exhibition space into a flower shop, dotted with floral themed artwork by photographer Steven Meisel. This theme finds its way onto the latest collection with rose printed Barcelona bags and shoulder bags all in LOEWE's exquisitely soft leather taking the lead on the current season amongst other items ready for spring. Elsewhere a craftsman from LOEWE's own Spanish atelier will be in attendance offering live demonstrations of the artisanal skill that goes into every last item so that you can appreciate the depth of knowledge that ensures the brand's leather work is a mainstay of the luxury fashion world.
Experience for yourself the world of LOEWE mixed with a dash of Japanese omotenshi spirit that finds the brand a home from home in Nihombashi Mitsukoshi.
